We are thrilled to introduce the newly established Power County Rodeo Association, a non-profit organization committed to supporting all things rodeo in Power County, Idaho! We are a small group of local volunteers with BIG goals.
Our Purpose is to:
1. To encourage, promote, and advance information and knowledge concerning the sport of rodeo and rodeo events at all levels, including but not limited to, Professional, Amateur, High School, and Junior levels, in Power County, Idaho
2. To work for the betterment of conditions and facility improvements at the Power County Fairgrounds, in cooperation with the Power County Fair Board and the Power County Board of County Commissioners.
3. To preserve the heritage of Power County, and to promote and improve the local community including local economy and commerce.
We are kicking off with our first annual Valentine's Roundup event on February 14, 2025. Ticket sales for the event will go towards our facility improvement fund. Our current goal is to update the sound system at the Power County Fairgrounds rodeo arena in American Falls. We would like to install additional speakers all the way around the arena for better sound quality. We will also be hosting a live auction featuring quality goods and services donated from business and individuals. This auction will help us create a scholarship fund to support Power County student rodeo athletes at all levels, from junior rodeo through the collegiate level.
We are also seeking donations to support our local rodeo productions. Quality prizes and payout, healthy stock, skilled personnel, dedicated contestants, and marketing are all necessary pieces of a top-notch rodeo event, and we want to provide our community with the best! With gross costs adding up to $35,000+ per production, many rodeos at all levels have created supporting foundations to help make the magic happen. We will work with each of these committees to provide recognition and promotion of our donors and sponsors.
